at the height of the campaign period, many of you feel that you have been treated differently because of your political preferences and political colors,

the election campaign period has been characterized by the proliferation of negativity and toxicity.

many of you have been at the receiving end of mudslinging, name calling, insults, and other personal attacks from those who believe that they alone have the monopoly of opinion, of morality, and of intellect.

Today, May 9, 2022,

after all has been said and done,

as they say, when the smoke has cleared,

you, who have been looked down and have kept your peace for so long,

can say that history has vindicated you.

The Filipino people has spoken.

This is your vindication.

This is your moment of triumph.

vox populi

vox Dei.

for those who cannot bear to accept the truth,

anger and resentment will get you nowhere.

what our country needs right now is unity and respect.

let us start the process of healing and reconciliation at this very moment.

let us educate one another on the lessons of humility, love and forgiveness.

in the end, we are all Filipinos, one people united under one God and one flag.
