STATEMENT OF THE NTFELCAC ON THE FILING OF A COMPLAINT BEFORE THE OMBUDSMAN BY THE NUPL

The National Union of People's Lawyers is the legal support system of the CPP NPA NDF and this group serves to defend and justify, thru legal maneuvers, the criminal accountabilities and acts of terrorism of the CPP NPA NDF and their cohorts and collaborators.

NUPL is also the starting point for recruitment for the underground movement of the CPP NPA NDF among the ranks of lawyers, law students and paralegal groups by way of recruitment towards the underground mass organization of the CPP-NPA-NDF, known as LUPON NG MGA MANANANGGOL PARA SA BAYAN or LUMABAN where they now knowingly adhere to the violent overthrow of government, the weakening of our democratic processes then the eventual installation of communism in our country.

NUPL also provides the legal maneuver for their racketeering and extortion operations, by serving as the pool of legal support of the CPP NPA NDF in order to circumvent the legal system of the state, in favor of the terroristic interest of the CPP NPA NDF.

It therefore comes as no surprise to us that the NUPL and other front organizations like KARAPATAN and KABATAAN via high ranking party member of the CPP NPA NDF, Sarah Elago, have come crawling out of the woodwork to file nuisance cases and complaints against those of us in government who have taken their masks off and have told the Filipino who it is they truly are: violent extremists who hide behind thr mask of "human rights defenders" and agents of positive social change but are, in fact, the most brutal and inhumane oppressors of our people.

We expect more of these legal fronts to follow suit. It is an old, worn out tactic of the CPP NPA NDF to harass and threaten government to silence us.

Unfortunately for them, those days when that worked are long over. They have come before the full force of the government they have tried to destroy.

But most importantly, they have come before the fullest Rage of a People who will no longer take the 52 years of Grief and Suffering from the hands of the CPP NPA NDF that the NUPL and all their legal fronts enabled mightily.

Indeed, the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.

The day of reckoning has finally arrived for these prostitutes of the Law and violent extremists and it will be by the hand of the Filipino people.
