On the International Day for the Right to the Truth

The NTF ELCAC is one with the global community in commemorating the International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims.

Indeed this is an essential part of the Task Force’s job: unmasking the lies and thick deceit of the terrorist organization CPP NPA NDF and its numerous fronts like GABRIELA, ACT, BAYAN MUNA, IBON, CEGP, NUPL, KARAPATAN, SALUGPUNGAN, ALCADEV, RURAL MISSIONARIES OF THE PHILIPPINES NUJP, NUSP, KATRIBU etc that pretend to be human rights defenders but are, in fact, its worst and most inhumane offenders. Who have, time and again on a relentless and ruthless basis, violated international humanitarian laws by bringing great harm to unarmed civilians for over five decades now and have torn the very fabric of our society.

The NTF ELCAC also strives to give those who have been silenced forever a Voice so their stories of abuse and suffering in the hands of the CPP NPA NDF that were committed in the dark may be brought to light. And serve as a warning to our people so they may protect themselves and their children.

And so the Filipino people and the world may be given the Clarity to see who the enemies of peace and social justice are.

We remember the Rano massacre where 39 members of the Bagobo-Tagabawa tribe, women and children among them- were mercilessly murdered by the CPP NPA NDF as they peacefully heard mass.

The Plaza Miranda bombing.

The death of 4 month old Walysha Machorao in an NPA ambush in Bukidnon.

The countless murders of indigenous peoples.

The assassination of thousands upon thousands of tribal elders who refused to bow before the CPP NPA NDF.

The training of indigenous children to be child warriors.

The Philippine government stands shoulder to shoulder with an awakened citizenry in the total defense of its children and take seriously the State’s role in attaining our goal of “Children as Zones of Peace”.

As we approach the anniversary of that day of infamy: March 29, the 52nd anniversary of the internationally declared terrorist group-NPA- which is the armed component of the CPP NPA NDF, the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict stands with the entire Filipino nation and the entire global community in putting an end to TERRORISM.

So that we may bequeath to our children a country in a much better shape than we found it.

And so that we may finally know what it is like to live in genuine peace with each other.
