BALER, Aurora – Multi-Sectoral groups from Aurora and Nueva Ecija formed the Sentrong Alyansa ng mga Mamamayan Para sa Bayan (SAMBAYANAN) in support to the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).

“SAMBAYANAN aims to promote nationalism and obedience to national and legal laws under the rule of responsible democracy,” 1st Civil Relations Group Commander Colonel Arnel Cabugon said.

For his part, 91st Infantry Battalion Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Reandrew Rubio recognized the efforts and intention of SAMBAYANAN for the future of the next generation.

“Your desire to protect communities especially those in isolated and depressed areas from intrusion of communist terrorist groups (CTGs) is commendable. Let us continue working together to prevent CTGs from infiltrating your sector. Let us work to the fullest level to end insurgency in your areas,” Rubio stressed.

For his part, 7th Infantry Division Commander Major General Alfredo Rosario Jr. lauded SAMBAYANAN’s support to NTF-ELCAC programs, adding that such initiative is vital in achieving peace and development in conflict-affected communities.
